The cockeyed aurorae of Uranus, as recently seen by Hubble:

As you can tell by their position relative to the planet's ring, Uranus' aurorae aren't at the planet's rotational poles! That's because Uranus' magnetic field is inclined 59 degrees, and shifted by about 1/3rd the planet's diameter toward the south rotational pole. Science types aren't exactly sure why, but Neptune's magnetic field is similarly wonky, so there's a theory that the ice giants generate their magnetic fields at relatively shallow depths (in water-ammonia oceans, for instance) rather than at their cores.
