The first ink wash page! Now making the pages traditionally rather than w/ Photoshop's "Lasso Tool." Here's the neat little folding drawing table my parents were so generous as to get me so I wouldn't be painting on the floor like a savage:

It's a "Berkeley" table from Martin Universal Design (ordered from here, although the legs came out white instead of black :P), and was kinda tough to put together since for instance you just kind of have to bore your own holes in the table top to screw it on, and some of the screws were defective :P, and it seemed a bit rickety when I set it up, but it's the only one I found that goes high enough to serve as a standing desk for me (I'm 6'2"; this table goes up to 53", whereas the others I could find generally topped out around 46"), and well anyway it worked just dandy for the first page, so hopefully it holds up!

Cool! I like it. It wouldn't be hard to move to water colour Ben, it's not that different from ink wash. Just an idea. I think SMBHAX would look super in colour!

Excellent page, m'boy. Fine switch to traditional media.

I had a table just like that once. :)

Yay! Glad you guys like it. :)

mo: Hmm... I suspect going full color would slow me down more than I would like, and I'm not sure I want to lose the stark b&w feel. I wouldn't be averse to throwing a splash of watercolor over the inks (that should work if the ink is dry, right??) once in a while for a limited color burst to keep people on their toes, though. HMM. Perhaps I'll take a look at a few key colors next time I go by the art supply store.

vw: Ah yeah I guess this table's been pretty well known for a while now. How'd it work out for you?

Don't think it would slow you down. You had to practice a bit with the ink wash but didn't take you too long to get comfy, so just get some cheap water colour and treat it
just like a wash, except you'd be in spectacular colour!
